When will 'Bob Hearts Abishola' Season 1 air? Fans will have to wait another week to find out Bob's plans to win Abishola back
Viewers might be disappointed to learn that there isn't a new episode of 'Bob Hearts Abishola' airing on CBS this Monday night. Instead, the Billy Gardell and Folake Olowofoyeku headed comedy will air its tenth episode next Monday.
Created by Chuck Lorre, Gina Yashere, Eddie Gorodetsky, and Al Higgins, 'Bob Hearts Abishola' follows the two titular characters: One, a middle-aged sock businessman, the other, a Nigerian immigrant single mother working as a nurse.
Bob meets Abishola at the hospital after having a heart attack and begins to pursue her. Though Abishola is reluctant at first, she warms up. However, when Bob's mother, Dottie, has a stroke, Bob's and Abishola's love takes a back seat.
Though the sitcom racked up controversy initially due to some of its jokes that viewers deemed racist, the ratings for the show have managed to remain steady between 5 to 6 million viewers. Moreover, viewers have voted increasingly favorably for subsequent episodes.
When the last episode aired, Bob was facing stiff competition from Chukwuemeka -- the son of Abishola's aunt's friend. Though Chukwu was initially brushed away by Abishola, it seemed like they might get back on track. Bob -- who is busy taking care of his mother -- does not have as much time to focus on Abishola like he used to.
The next episode, which will be the tenth of the first season, will air on December 9. In the next episode, Abishola will go another date with Chukwu, forcing Bob to gain the confidence and fight for Abishola.
Meanwhile, in the previous episode, Uncle Tunde and Auntie Olu fought over their preferences for who Abishola should be with. Uncle Tunde prefers Bob, but Auntie Olu prefers Chukwu. In the upcoming episode, Uncle Tunde will bond with Dottie in the aftermath of his fight with Auntie Olu.
'Bob Hearts Abishola' airs on CBS on Monday nights. The next episode will air on December 9th.
