LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Blindspotting', a popular comedy-drama TV series on Starz, has returned for a new season after a two-year break. The series is a spin-off sequel to the original 'Blindspotting' film created by Daveed Diggs and Rafael Casal. The two creators also star on the show alongside Jasmine Cephas Jones, who leads the ensemble cast.

'Blindspotting', which premiered in June 2021, is a comedy-drama series centered around Ashley, played by Jasmine Cephas Jones, as she copes with the challenges of living with her partner Miles' family after he is incarcerated. Set in Oakland, the show highlights the difficulties of middle-class life and addresses social and economic issues such as wealth inequality and poverty. Despite its serious themes, the series maintains a light and comedic tone, which has helped it gain a devoted following.

When will the 'Blindspotting' Season 2 release?

'Blindspotting' Season 2 is scheduled to have a double-episode debut on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 9 pm ET/PT on Straz in the US and Canada. The new season will also be available for streaming on the Starz app.

The second season of 'Blindspotting' will maintain the show's tone and narrative style while addressing important societal issues. The main character, Ashley, (Jasmine Cephas Jones)  may be portrayed in a new light as she embraces life to the fullest despite facing challenges.

The first two episodes of the new season will premiere on April 14, 2023, with subsequent episodes airing every Friday at 9 pm ET/PT until the eighth and final episode on May 26, 2023. The second season will consist of eight episodes, each lasting between 30 and 34 minutes.
