'Blindspotting': Cast, air time and how to live stream the Starz series

Starz's 'Blindspotting' series takes place six months after the movie of the same name and will see Ashley trying to make her life better

‘Blindspotting’ was one of the most acclaimed movies of 2018 and garnered universal acclaim. It has been three years since the movie came out and fans still want to know about what happened to all the characters of the movie. The writers of the movie, Daveed Diggs and Rafael Casal, surprised the fans by announcing that they will be collaborating once again for a series based on the movie.

The series will take place six months after the events in the film of the same name. Ashley (Jasmine Cephas Jones) and her son are forced to move in with her boyfriend's mother and sister following his arrest. However, their lives are turned upside down when Miles (Casal) is suddenly incarcerated and they are forced to move in with Miles’ mother and half-sister.

The creators of the series will have the responsibility to make the series even better than the movie. Fans have been eagerly waiting for the series to arrive and they are hoping for another amazing ride.

Air time

The series will be premiering exclusively on STARZ on Sunday, June 13.

How to live stream

‘Blindspotting’ will be airing its first episode on Sunday, June 13, at 9 pm EST. The series will be airing new episodes every Sunday. You can watch Starz by subscribing directly to their subscription service. The current introductory offer is $5 per month for the first six months. Viewers can also watch Starz live without cable with one of these streaming services: Philo, Sling TV, fuboTV, Hulu With Live TV, AT&T TV, or YouTube TV.

Plot

The official synopsis reads, “The show picks up six months after the film and centers on Ashley (Jasmine Cephas Jones), who is nipping at the heels of a middle-class life in Oakland until Miles (Rafael Casal), her partner of 12 years and father of their son, is suddenly incarcerated, leaving her to navigate a chaotic and humorous existential crisis when she is forced to move in with Miles' mother and half-sister.”

Jasmine Cephas Jones will be reprising the role of Ashley in the series. She garnered a lot of acclaim for her acting in the movie released in 2018. On the other hand, Casal will also be back as Miles. Academy Award-winning actress Helen Hunt will be playing the role of Rainey in the series.

Benjamin Earl Turner, Atticus Woodward, Jaylen Barron, Candace Nicholas-Lippman are also set to appear on the show.

Creators

The series created by Daveed Diggs and Rafael Casal. The duo also created and wrote the story for the movie of the same name and earned a lot of success. On the other hand, Cephas Jones will be producing the series.

Diggs, Casal, Keith Calder, Jess Wu Calder, Emily Gerson Saines, Ken Lee, Tim Palen, and Seith Mann are serving as executive producers on the show.

Trailer

The trailer sees Ashley trying to build a new life after the arrest of her partner, Miles. Ashley would have to overcome a lot of obstacles to have a decent life for her and most importantly, her son. You can watch the trailer here.
