'They s**k': Blake Shelton slams Knockout rounds as 'The Voice' 2023 coach steals Rachel Christine
UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: 'The Voice' Season 23's coach Blake Shelton has a strong view about Knockout rounds. It seems that the singer does not like these rounds as much as the others. Explaining the same, Blake revealed during "The Knockouts Part 2" why he does not like the rounds.
'The Voice' released a preview clip on Monday where we saw Kelly Clarkson's team members facing off against each other in the Knockouts Part 2. Blake Shelton believes 'Knockout rounds s**k'
'The Voice' shared a clip on Twitter where Kelly's team members Holly and Rachel are seen facing off against each other. Holly sang 'Blue Moon of Kentucky', while Rachel sang 'Rhiannon'. As both the singers performed extremely well, the judges seemed confused about who to choose in the Knockout round.
After their knockoff, Blake was the first one to give his views on the singers. He said, "You guys, both did great." 'The Voice' coach further continued, "What's not awesome is Knockout rounds." He then added, "They s*ck." To which, both Holly and Rachel laughed.
Holly Brand wins the Knockout
Holly won everyone's hearts. Kelly believed both her singers picked the "perfect song". Kelly called Holly's performance a "killer". She praised the singer for wowing the audience by singing whistle notes. On the other hand, Kelly also praised Rachel for competing with so much confidence against someone singing whistle notes. Despite being confused about who to choose between Holly and Rachel, Kelly picked Holly. She indeed won the Knockout. Thankfully, Rachel did not get to go home. She was stolen by none other than Blake.
'Holly had mad skills'
As Holly performed so well in the Knockouts, a fan tweeted, "@kellyclarkson #TheVoice HOLLY has Mad Skills!!!" Another praised the singer and claimed, "@kellyclarkson #TheVoice you can win the Voice with Holly!"
"Holly Brand controlled that acapella section so well. Loved the uptempo pace, a real tpe-tapper. Niall was mesmerized. That ending Whistle note sealed the deal for me," a fan said. Another wrote, "@kellyclarkson #TheVoice really pushing it tonight, holly all the way."
