UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: 'The Voice' Season 23 kicked off the Knockout Round. After Blake Shelton's singers Noivas and Tasha Jessen opened the episode with their brilliant performance, fans were expecting a similar set from Kelly Clarkson's team. Well, it was not the same. The pairing of Team Kelly singers did not quite match up.

Marcos Covos and Ali brought their best voices while singing their best selves. Was this really a great pairing? Fans were left puzzled as they watched Ali dominate in the knockout round. 'The Voice' Season 23 viewers called out Marcos for not controlling his pitch and breathing.

Kelly Clarkson chooses Ali over Marcos

Ali was the first to enter the knockout round. And she impressed the judges with his unique notes, singing 'Best Part' Marcos, on the other hand, sang 'Jesus, Take the Wheel,' claiming that this song made him feel like he had a strong relationship with God, even though he was told that he was not worthy of that relationship because he was LGBTQIA+. After each person's performance, it seemed like Ali was the clear winner of the episode.

Blake said Ali had special notes in her voice, but on the other hand, the judge believed Marcos had "too many runs" before choosing Ali. Niall also thought Marcos was in "too much control." Chance the Rapper accepted that Ali is a great singer, but he thought the singer was a bit shaky at the beginning. Kelly agreed with the other jury members and claimed that Marcos had "pitchy moments." In fact, Kelly chose Ali and eliminated Marcos from the knockout round.

Fans call competition a 'no brainer' as Marcos is eliminated

Fans knew it was Ali who would be saved in the knockout round. Marcos was clearly a bit off. When one fan saw this, he called out the competition and said, "No brainer there. Didn’t feel the song and Marco was all over the place." A fan indirectly taunted Kelly for the pairing saying, "@kellyclarkson #TheVoice Great pairing, Kelly." Another replied, "@kellyclarkson #TheVoice disappointed in the performance from Marcos." After Marcos's elimination, a fan tweeted, "I hate to say it, but Marcos didn't deserve to stay." A fan called out his performance to be, "Marcos is having big-time issues with pitch and breath control. That was just bad."
