YG Entertainment has already revealed the date of the release of this much-anticipated movie and ticket details. Read on to know how to watch 'The Movie' in your nearest theater.
Blackpink's 'The Movie' announcement came as a part of their grand 4+1 anniversary project where the fans will be able to reminisce the group's legendary journey from debut to one of the biggest girl groups in the world of music within a span of just five years. The K-pop quartet has been certified as the highest-charting South Korean girl group on Billboard Hot 100 with 'Ice Cream' peaking at number 13 and 'The Album' (2020) peaking on number 2 on the Billboard 200, reportedly the first-ever album by a Korean girl band to sell more than one million copies.

Release date
Blackpink's 'The Movie' will be released in South Korea on August 4, 2021. For international fans, the date may differ but as August will be the month for Blackpink's anniversary celebrations, fans are expecting the movie will be wildly available. According to the special site created for Blackpink's anniversary, 'The Movie' will be available in as many as 100 countries.
How to watch
Blackpink's 'The Movie' will be a theater release where fans can experience a 'concert-like' feel of some of Blackpink's iconic stages including their 2018 concert 'In Your Area', and 2020's 'The Show.' Plus, YG Entertainment has teased that the montage will have some never-before-seen footage of Jennie, Lisa, Rose and Jisoo.

Prior to Blackpink's 5th-anniversary release, the K-pop superstars have crossed another milestone with their 2020 hit track 'How You Like That' crossing 900 million views on YouTube. Reportedly, Blackpink also became the first-ever music act to reach four music videos to reach one billion views mark with 'Kill This Love', 'As If It’s Your Last', 'Boombayah' and 'DDU-DU DDU-DU'.
