SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: Blackpink quite literally is the biggest girl group in the world at the moment but it seems like YG Entertainment is treating it like a NuGu (Rookie group). With their recent pre-release single 'Pink Venom', the girl group has recorded their personal best comeback. As desperate fans waited for almost two years before getting a new release from the girl group, the single recorded 90.4 million views within the first 24 hours of its release, making it the fastest 2022 single to achieve this record. Now as the girl group approaches the release of their second full-length album titled 'Born Pink' and their subsequent world tour of the same name, fans are discussing details of their first show in Seoul.

The 'Born Pink' world tour was announced recently. On August 16, the label released the ticketing details for Blackpink's 'Born Pink' concept in Seoul that will be held on October 15 and 16. The post also mentioned that the shows would be hosted at KSPO Dome Arena (Olympic Gymnastics Arena in Seoul) with a seating capacity of 15,000 fans. Considering this is Blackpink's homeland, a two-day show would only facilitate 30,000 fans to attend the two-day 'Born Pink' show in Seoul. This has enraged some fans as they slammed YG Entertainment for making it seem that Blackpink has very few fans in South Korea.

Blackpink gets tiny concert venue in Seoul

The 'Born Pink' concert in Seoul will be Blackpink's first official in-person show after November 11, 2019. Over the last three years, the girl group's international popularity has risen considerably but fans are wondering why YG Entertainment is not doing better things for the girl group. Blackpink's 2019 concert 'In Your Area' Seoul concert was also held over two days at the same venue. Despite the rise of K-pop and Blackpink being the biggest girl group in the world, fans are appalled with YG Entertainment for choosing an arena for the girl group's first show in Seoul after three years instead of a studio.

In 2022, BTS hosted a three-day concert in Seoul for their 'Permission To Dance on Stage' tour but the show was hosted at the Seoul Olympic Stadium with a capacity of 69,950 seats. This means that the total three-day seating capacity of BTS' 2022 Seoul concert was 209K seats in contrast to Blackpink's upcoming 30K seat show. This has also started a fan war as some ARMYs (fans of BTS) are mocking Blinks (fans of Blackpink) by saying that BTS' J-Hope as a soloist hosted a show for 100K fans at the Lollapalooza Festival in July 2022.

'YG still doubting Blackpink's impact'

Fans of Blackpink are now asking YG Entertainment why the girl group was not allotted a stadium for their first concert in three years instead of the same arena from 2018. One fan said, "Blackpink world tour in Seoul Only 30000 can join for 2 day. Please give a new place stadium for BP world tour in Seoul, you not give a comeback for BP 2 year and then now you give a small arena for they. Do you know how many blink in Korea?"

Another fan said, "No. Because the last seoul concert of bp was held at the olympic gymnastics arena with a capacity of 15K. But now, their concert will be held at KSPO DOME with the same capacity. Yg still doubting blackpink's impact. We all know blackpink can do better than that!"

One more fan said, "No bc this isn’t even stadium capacity??? Why is their Seoul concerts so small? FOR BLACKPINK?!???!" One fan said, "Is this a joke? How can you give an arena with 15k capacity for blackpink?? For such a large and well-known band, the arena should be unlisted on this world tour. Are you aware of blackpink's power? Do you think they can't sell tickets?? Is bp a rookie group? I'm really fed up..."

One fan asked, "Do you think blackpink are some nugu newly debuted group??" Another fan wondered, "Help- 15k capacity only? is blackpink really nugu in Korea?"
