'Black Lightning' Season 3 Episode 11: Jefferson threatens Brandon in the most adorably parental way possible

Jefferson Pierce / Black Lightning (Cress Williams) is a hero, an educator and a figurehead in the community. But above all else, Jefferson is a dad.
'Black Lightning' Season 3 Episode 11 gave us an extremely adorable moment between Jefferson and Brandon (Jahking Guillory), the newest "friend" of his daughter Jennifer Pierce / Lightning (China Anne McClain), which really brought out the overprotective parent in Jefferson.
In the scene, Jefferson meets Brandon for the first time and tells him to stay away from Jennifer, not-so-subtly threatening to turn him into a eunuch if he doesn't. Jennifer tries telling him they're just friends, to which Jefferson responds by telling his daughter that her mother and he were "just friends" too at one point.
It was a truly adorable scene and the best part is that Jefferson actually managed to scare the living daylights out of Brandon without even using his formidable lightning powers. And if Brandon was scared then, we can only imagine the terror he must have felt once he found out Jefferson is Black Lightning.
Brandon and Jefferson's interaction, though brief, was one of the highlights of the episode for us and we really hope we get to see these two share more screentime in the future. Jennifer's growing relationship with the young metahuman has been one of the few rays of hope for fans who want the Pierce family to find some happiness in these troubled times and we'd love to see them grow into something more than "just friends", even if Jefferson might be tempted to castrate Brandon for it.
'Black Lightning' Season 3 Episode 12 'The Book of Markovia: Chapter Three' will air exclusively on The CW on February 3.
