Things are starting to look pretty dangerous for Black Lightning / Jefferson Pierce (Cress Williams) and his family with the ASA going on the warpath against them. And it looks like it's only going to get more dangerous when 'Black Lightning' Season 3 Episode 11 'The Book of Markovia: Chapter Two' arrives.

The promo for the episode reveals that the ASA has finally decided to send Painkiller / Khalil Payne (Jordan Calloway) to hunt down the family. This is bound to lead to some major dramatic moments, especially once he goes up against his ex-girlfriend Jennifer Pierce / Lightning (China Anne McClain).

Based on stills from the episode that were released online, it looks like the Pierces might manage to capture Painkiller with the help of Peter Gambi (James Remar).

We also know that TC / Baron (Christopher Ammanuel) will feature in the episode so perhaps his powers could help remove the ASA's brainwashing and free Khalil from his masters.

The episode's stills also suggest we might be getting an intensely emotional moment between Grace Choi (Chantal Thuy) and Anissa Pierce / Thunder (Nafessa Williams).

That should help satisfy all our ThunderGrace cravings and there's also a shot of Jefferson talking to Grace, so maybe he might just warm up to his daughter's girlfriend a little.

Meanwhile, Lala / the Tattooed Man (William Catlett) will also be appearing in the episode, making this his first appearance on the show since the 'Crisis on Infinite Earths'.

We don't know if the multiverse changing has affected Lala and it doesn't seem like he'll be fighting Painkiller this episode but we're still holding out hope that we get to see that battle for the ages before the season wraps up.

Here's the synopsis for the episode: "THE HUNT – Jefferson (Cress Williams), Anissa (Nafessa Williams) and Jennifer (China Anne McClain) discover that the ASA is now hunting the entire Pierce family."

"Meanwhile, Lynn (Christine Adams) does the unthinkable. Cress Williams, Nafessa Williams, James Remar, Damon Gupton, Marvin Jones III, and Jordan Calloway also star. Tasha Smith directed the episode written by Lamont Magee," the synopsis adds.

'Black Lightning' Season 3 Episode 11 'The Book of Markovia: Chapter Two' will air exclusively on The CW on January 27.
