Billlie’s Tsuki first went viral for her facial expressions during her performance of ‘GingaMingaYo’ on Simply K-Pop’s KCON. Being a Japanese idol before debuting with Billlie, fans were in awe that she made use of the cute cartoon-like expressions popular in J-pop. They loved how she changed her expression with every beat and expressed the song’s lyrics with her face. However, the very reason she went viral was used to apparently mock her by the boy group Mirae.

On April 4, three members of Mirae went on VLive to chat with fans while driving back from a schedule. When ‘GingaMingaYo’ was played, one of the members, Dohyun took to copying Tsuki’s performance. While the other two, Lien and Siyoung watched, Dohyun made exaggerated facial expressions as if he wanted to copy Tsuki by rolling his eyes and sticking out his tongue. Billlie’s fans felt that he was mocking her and so took to Twitter to reprimand him.

Billlie’s fans brought back the time that Tsuki had shared that she had been self-conscious of her face and trying out those facial expressions for her performance. He shared that he knew what he had done was wrong and so he wanted to apologize. He also sent a personal apology to Billlie and shared that would work harder to be careful of his actions.
