'Big win': Fans react after Marvel insider drops news that 'Eternals' SEQUEL has been greenlit

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Eternals' had a theatre release in the midst of the pandemic and was something out of the usual MCU curriculum. The movie became one of the most alienating solo movies in history with lowest score on Rotten Tomatoes, tied with the latest MCU release, 'Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania'. Since then, there has been no progression in the sequel conversation of battling the evil deviants superheroes.

The closest the audience got to the sequel of the 'Eternals' was when 'I Love My Dad' star Patton Oswalt accidentally revealed the news after confuting to the fact and noting he was misled by the Internet rumors. The planned phase five and six of MCU has already released the list of upcoming movies in the bank, but has no sign of 'Eternals 2' anywhere near it. It seems like Marvel is taking their sweet time in creating the movies from now on considering 'Ant-Man 3' failing at the box office due to bad CGI edits.

Is 'Eternals 2' in production?

KC Walsh, an MCU insider, revealed on Twitter about the supposed sequel to 'Eternals' and 'Shang-Chi' being underway. "Eternals 2 and Shang-Chi 2 have been added to the Marvel Studios production calendar," Walsh wrote on Twitter. 

Since then, broke a chain of questions by fans who were not only quite desperately waiting for a sequel to 'Eternals' but also many other movies which were quite forgotten at the Marvel Studios. "Big win," wrote a fan after news of possible sequel to 'Eternals' came in. "Chloe returning for Eternals 2 tho?" asked a user. "And world war hulk?" added another. "Update us on the Agatha show pls," chimed in another fan.

Marvel has not only put 'Eternals 2' on hold with no further details, there are many projects from 'Avengers: Kang Dynasty' to 'Secret Wars' and 'Armored Wars' to 'Shang-Chi', which have been postponed. Fans were swift to point out the obvious and ask questions about their favorites movies including the sequel to 'Eternals'. "Think Doctor Strange is next and Kang Dynasty getting moved by a year," a user said. Whilst, a fan added, "My most anticipated marvel projects are Eternals 2, Avengers Kang Dynasty, Secret wars and Armored wars." "I’ve been waiting for this," another wrote hoping for the supposed news to be true. 

When will the 'Eternals' sequel come to theatres? 

Although, there is no date yet, but we are sure that the studio has waved the green flag for the production to go ahead. Meanwhile, we're hoping that the movie turns out to be a box office hit as the first part didn't get a chance to perform to its full potential due to the pandemic. Regardless of the initial details about the release, the sequel would probably help expand the 'Eternals' universe and give a story to countless fan-favorite heroes and villains set to push their quest ahead.
