‘Big Mouth’ creates history!
Netflix tends to cancel series before they can barely even find their footing, ‘Warrior Nun’ or ‘Inside Job’ for example. So anytime a series actually last for longer than a couple of seasons on this streaming platform, it’s a big deal! With a blink of an eye, ‘Big Mouth’ completed six seasons and got renewed for two more, giving the entire series a total of eight seasons. Here’s the kicker, one would think that a streaming platform as big as Netflix would have original series that lasted longer, but that isn’t the case.
In fact, there are two Netflix originals that made it to seven seasons, and those are ‘Grace and Frankie’ and ‘Orange is the New Black'. After these two incredibly successful originals, ‘Big Mouth’ is creating history with a grand total of eight seasons. Frankly, if there is any series that deserves to create history like this, it has to be ‘Big Mouth'. With plenty of laughs, hormone monsters, titular characters, and brilliant voice actors, ‘Big Mouth’ comes to an end.
‘Human Resources’ doesn’t make it past two seasons
‘Human Resources’ was the middle child that everyone tried giving attention to, but at the same time, viewers simply didn’t care enough about it. This series served as a spin-off to ‘Big Mouth’ focussing more on the different kinds of monsters, but it paled in comparison to ‘Big Mouth'. The original series had set the bar incredibly high with a variety of characters, and while ‘Human Resources’ tried to keep up, it wasn’t enough.
‘Human Resources’ is coming to an end after its second season, but who knows, Nick Kroll might just have another animated series up his sleeves, because despite eight seasons of ‘Big Mouth’ and two seasons of ‘Human Resources’ viewers need more!
You can stream the first six seasons of ‘Big Mouth’ exclusively on Netflix!
