'Big Brother' Season 22: Is the show being unfair to the girls? Fans call out CBS for rigged competition

The season premiere of the show saw old contestants coming back but fans think it is not a fair game in the household

Season 22 of 'Big Brother' is here to bless our lockdown life as it brings some familiar faces back to the show. The latest season features 16 contestants — eight men and eight women — come back to the show and have another chance at winning the game. The show made it clear that the competition begins the second contestants step into the house. 

The first competition that the contestants had to face was for the Head of Household (HOH). However, there were two rounds to this challenge. The first round saw the cast members answering one of the questions that was given to them and then playing the game of landing the ball into the hole to get qualified for the second round. 

The questions revolved around the house and the answer was one of the rooms. The task had the contestants dropping the ball into the hole where that particular room was mentioned. Six people qualified for the next round. This included Christmas Abbott, Ian Terry, Kevin Campbell, Nicole Anthony, Robert "Memphis" Garrett and Cody Calafiore.

The second task saw Cody winning the competition as he finished performing the task in 22 seconds. However, fans had some concerns with the win as they thought it was unfair as Cody had an advantage at his disposal. Meanwhile, another thing that concerned them was the lack of girls who qualified for the next round. 



 

Fans of the show thought that the girls were treated unfairly because of the questions they got in the first round. Getting a room that was the furthest away for the ball to reach, they thought it eliminated the chances of more girls qualifying into the next round. Meanwhile, the boys had a room that was near the start point. 



 

Many took to social media and called out CBS for not having a challenge that would be fair to all. "Was about to say shame on you @CBSBigBrother for making this comp so unfair. The girl's groups had rooms that were farthest. The boys closest. What crap to begin the season," read one comment. 



 

"It is waaaaay unfair that the girls got the end spots," another wrote. "#BigBrother RIGGED... you give the girls the hardest target and boys the closest?????? This is unfair! Wow! Way to start the show," said another. 'Big Brother' Season 22 airs on Wednesdays at 8 pm ET on CBS.
