'Big Brother' Season 22: Cody becomes the first Head of Household but fans think the game was 'rigged'
Big Brother Season 22 is gracing the television amid pandemic to make sure that everyone has some entertainment while quarantining. The season premiere of the show saw some of the familiar faces coming back on the show to get a chance to win the game. The August 5 episode made it clear that the competition begins right when the contestants step into the house.
As everyone made their way into the house, their first task started. The task had the cast members answering the question that was given to them and being the first one to win the game of dropping the ball in the hole. Among the 16 contestants, people who were qualified to run for Head of Household (HOH) were Christmas Abbott, Ian Terry, Kevin Campbell, Nicole Anthony, Robert "Memphis" Garrett and Cody Calafiore.
All six of them were given the task of star stepping. The task had steps laid out with a star sign on top of them. Each contestant had to make sure that they reached the other end of the room by stepping on these stars and finishing the task in a short time. The person who would be the quickest will win the competition.
The catch for the task was that some of the star steps were not fixed and were wobbly. If a contestant happened to fall down, they had to start the competition all over again. Memphis was the first person to go and he finished the task in one minute and twelve seconds. Cody was the next one to go and he finished the task in 22 seconds.
RIGGED because why did Cody get to play with a piece at the end still wobbling but the others had to wait? Or did nobody else see that? #bb22 #bigbrother #cbs

All the other cast members had to make sure that they finish the task within 22 seconds. Unfortunately, none of them were able to do so and this helped him become the first HOH of this season. Cody admitted that the win was important for him because there were some unfamiliar faces among the crowd that made him fearful of what to expect.
Cody’s turn wasn’t really fair. It was still wobling from the last guy. #BigBrother #BigBrother2020 #bigbrotherallstars

Rather than letting someone else take the lead, Cody thought becoming the HOH will help him interact with everyone in the house and give him a lead over the others. While he was happy with his win, many people thought that the game was not fair as the steps had been wobbling from when Memphis performed the task.
Clear as day Cody still had a wobbling stool from Memphis turn, he knew to avoid. #BB22allstars #BB22 #bigbrotherallstars #BigBrother pic.twitter.com/NIRERD5GF6

"RIGGED because why did Cody get to play with a piece at the end still wobbling but the others had to wait? Or did nobody else see that?" read one comment. Another added, "Cody’s turn wasn’t really fair. It was still wobbling from the last guy."
"Cody had an advantage there...one of the stools from Memphis's run was still wobbling during Cody's run and he saw it an avoided it. Clear as day Cody still had a wobbling stool from Memphis turn, he knew to avoid," pointed out another.
'Big Brother' Season 22 airs on Wednesdays at 9 pm ET on CBS.
