Why did Ashley Marti skip 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' reunion? Fans want her 'to answer for her crimes'
Ever since 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' Season 3 premiered, fans have had pretty strong feelings towards second stew Ashley Marti. Be it her unsatisfactory work ethic or her obsession with hooking up with first officer Gary King, fans were put off by a lot of things about Ashley.
Sadly, things only got worse for Ashley as fans watched her play mean girl towards fellow stew Gabriela Barragan, eventually leading to Gaby's decision to exit the show mid-season. So, when the season concluded with Ashley bagging the position of lead stew despite her "toxic" behavior, fans were looking forward to the show's reunion to grill her about the questionable behavior she displayed throughout her stint on the show. Unfortunately, it looks like Ashley has decided to skip attending the reunion. The 'BDSY' star took to her Instagram to reveal that she decided to sit out of the reunion as she "did not have the energy nor the desire to continue to be a puppet for bravo."

Why did Ashley Marti skip 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' Reunion?
After 'BDSY' Season 3's finale episode aired, Ashley took to her Instagram stories to announce that she wouldn't be attending the highly-anticipated reunion special hosted by Andy Cohen. She explained that she was done being a "puppet for Bravo" and accused the show's "editing" of not letting her tell her side of the story. She wrote, "I just want to let all my supporters know that I chose not to participate in the reunion. At the time if it was filmed I did not have the energy nor the desire to continue to be a puppet for bravo, in addition to feeling like I would not be able to fully tell my side of the due to editing."
She thanked her fans for their support of her and announced that she would go live on Instagram to answer any of the burning questions her followers may have for her, instead. "I appreciate all of the support I have received along the way which is why I’m giving my followers a chance to ask me questions about the season which I will answer live. I’m sorry for anyone who was looking forward to it, however I hope you will respect my decision." In another story, Ashley shared that she would go live on Sunday, June 26, at 9 pm EST.
Ashley's decision to skip the reunion didn't sit well with fans, who took to Twitter to call out her excuse of not being "Bravo's puppet". A fan tweeted, "Do y’all know that Ashley isn’t going to be on the #BelowDeckSailingYacht reunion? Claiming she won’t be Bravo’s puppet as if Bravo told her to act the way she did all season. #BDSY #BelowDeck #BelowDeckSailing." "Ashley saying she’s Bravo’s puppet when she said in interviews “It’s literally giving me life rn that Scarlett has no experience” HUH?! Honey you jumped into that grave yourself, nobody pushed you. Need Scarlett back for S4! #BelowDeckSailingYacht #bdsy," wrote a fan. Another fan added, "Ashley not going 2reunion due to being “a puppet for bravo”..? They made you take advantage of a paralytic guy - made you rude to Scarlett - made you want to be 2nd stew so badly, that you bullied another cast member off the show… ok #BelowDeckSailingYacht."

Another fan wondered, "I think it’s really funny Ashley chose to skip the reunion.. scared or what? #BDSY #BelowDeckSailingYacht." "So Ashley didn’t want to answer for her crimes and avoided the reunion #BelowDeck #BelowDeckSailingYacht #BelowDeckSailing," observed a fan. "Honestly I’m not surprised in the slightest that Ashley is not gonna be on the reunion episode tomorrow, but I still hope she gets dragged and called out for her behavior because it’s what she deserves. #BelowDeckSailingYacht," expressed a fan. "Ashley's not attending the reunion. She actually had two good episodes and had a huge opportunity to explain why she behaved like she did. Example, Gary flirting and then push her away several times a day. That maybe made her feel crazy? But no. She chose not to #belowdecksailing," pointed out a fan.
