Celebs in porn: Bella Thorne's Pornhub debut is not as unique as it sounds, here are the other stars who starred in adult entertainment
The whole world is talking about Disney star Bella Throne’s directorial debut in the porn industry.
As exciting as that might sound, it wouldn't be the first time a mainstream celebrity dabbled in adult entertainment.
While Thorne’s new initiative is sure to inspire a few more celebrities to foray into the industry, here are some celebrities who have tried their hand at porn in the past.
Sylvester Stallone
The ‘Rocky’ star was once a little desperate to make some quick cash and decided to look past his standards and star in the softcore pornographic romance flick titled ‘The Party at Kitty and Stud’s.’
The film, which was released in 1970, was re-released in 1976 under the title ‘Italian Stallion’ to capitalize on Stallone’s stardom after the success of ‘Rocky.’
The film involves a slight amount of sadomasochism and group sex.
Stallone, who has admitted that he did the film out of desperation, revealed, "It was either do that movie or rob someone because I was at the end—at the very end of my rope. Instead of doing something desperate, I worked two days for $200 and got myself out of the bus station".
Jackie Chan
Chan had to rely on some soft porn to make ends meet back in the day. He played a rickshaw driver in 1975 Hong Kong adult comedy film ‘All in the Family,’ which is known for featuring one of the only two sex scenes Chan has done in his entire career.
"I had to do anything I could to make a living 31 years ago, but I don't think it's a big deal, even Marlon Brando used to be exposed in his movies," Chan said in 2006. "The porn movie at that time was more conservative than the current films.”
The movie is now being described as a comedy rather than an adult film.
Chyna
WWE star Chyna, who was once deemed "Ninth Wonder of the World," had long been considered a sex symbol before she made her debut in porn.
The late professional wrestler, who made about six adult films, started off by commercially releasing her sex tape with fellow wrestler Sean Waltman in 2004 titled ‘1 Night in China.’
It went to win a 2006 AVN Award for Best-Selling title.
The films that followed included 2009’s ‘Another Night in China,’ 2011’s ‘Backdoor to Chyna,’ and 2012’s ‘Chyna is Queen of the Ring', 2012’s ‘Avengers XXX: A Porn Parody’, and 2013’s ‘She-Hulk XXX: A Porn Parody' in which she was seen portraying the Marvel superhero She-Hulk.
Dustin Diamond
42-year-old Diamond is possibly still best known for his roles as a child actor, namely Screech, on ‘Saved by the Bell’ and its various reboots. His porn debut shook many to the core.
The point being, Diamond decided that directing and starring in an adult film was a great idea back in 2006 when he was 29.
He has since gone on to state that the actual sex scenes in ‘Screeched: Saved by the Smell’ were shot by a body double.
However, he claimed to regret ever having made the movie during his appearance on ‘Oprah: Where Are They Now?’
Jaimee Foxworth
Best known for portraying the youngest daughter of Carl and Harriette Winslow on the beloved series ‘Family Matters,’ Foxworth too turned to porn following the dimming of her stardom.
With the stage name Crave, Foxworth, who was written off ‘Family Matters’ without any explanation, starred in a couple of adult films.
However, she retired not long after and claimed that it was one of her big regrets alongside substance abuse.
Farrah Abraham
The notorious reality star, who is known for her appearance on ’16 and Pregnant’ and ‘Teen Mom’ among a plethora of the reality shows, has starred in two porn films with the popular porn star James Deen.
Her movies, titled ‘Farrah Superstar: Backdoor Teen Mom’ and ‘Farrah 2: Backdoor and More’, were released in 2013 and 2014 respectively.
Following the release of the first film, which reportedly earned her a seven-figure settlement, she released the followed statement, "I am very pleased with the outcome and to have this opportunity to be an entrepreneur in another unexpected light in my life. This is a risk for me to take, however, I feel comfortable having given the rights to Vivid, a company I know can handle the media and press surrounding my sexuality."
Sibel Kekilli
Kekilli, best known for her role on ‘Game of Thrones’ has a different story than most of the other celebrities on this list.
Before landing her role as Shae on the fantasy show, she worked as a pornographic film actress without the knowledge of most of her family.
After the release of her first big feature, ‘Head-On,’ German tabloid ‘Bild- Zeitung’ made her previous work in porn public, which led to her family cutting off all contact with her.
However, she has risen above the "dirty smear campaign" and "media rape"—as she called it—and is currently one of the most sought-after actresses. She was last seen in 2019’s ‘Berlin, I Love You.'
