‘Batwoman’ Episode 8 could see Jacob support Alice out of guilt after being kidnapped and hearing her story

The official synopsis of the upcoming 'Batwoman' episode titled 'A Mad Tea Party' says, "Jacob makes a decision that leaves Kate perplexed." There is also the possibility Jacob here could mean Mouse, who is using Jacob's face mask to ensure agents at Crows Security do not find out their plan

'Batwoman' Episode 8's promo shows us Alice (Rachel Skarsten) has succeeded in kidnapping Jacob (Dougray Scott). She now holds him in a place that Kate Kane (Ruby Rose), his daughter aka Batwoman finds impossible to track.  Alice, who is Kate's long lost twin sister Beth, tries to find where Jacob is being held, but Alice doesn't seem ready to give her sister what she wants.

We even saw how Batwoman tried to get the answer she wanted through violence. Batwoman is doing all of this to ensure her father's safety and to make sure her sister doesn't become the murderer of their father.

However, from the official synopsis of the episode, it looks like Jacob has his own plans, but it's not something Kate would agree with. The official synopsis reads, "Kate and Alice continue their sister/nemesis dance; Alice and Mouse construct their most evil plan yet; Mary (Nichole Kang) invites Kate to a special event honoring Catherine; Jacob makes a decision that leaves Kate perplexed."

So, what decision of Jacob could potentially perplex Kate? Does he decide to support Alice despite being kidnapped? The fact that he recently learned his daughter Beth was not dead as he was led to believe by Catherine Hamilton-Kane (Elizabeth Anweis) has left him upset.

He is also dealing with the guilt of having given up the search for his daughter and beyond everything, he also learns Beth was kidnapped and held captive by a mad man. It was her experience in captivity that transformed Beth into Alice and this is also the reason why Alice is out for revenge.

The synopsis also mentions how Alice and Mouse construct their most evil plan yet and this may have something to do with the yellowish substance that the two acquired from Safiyah in return for a gun powerful enough to penetrate the batsuit. Would Jacob go along with Alice's plan as penance for what he did because that would definitely perplex Kate?

There is also the possibility Jacob here could, in reality, be Mouse; who is using Jacob's face mask to ensure agents at Crows Security do not learn of his and Alice's plan. With just two episodes left before the show goes on its winter break, it would be interesting to see what Alice has planned and if that will play a role in the upcoming 'Crisis on Infinite Earths' episodes.

The upcoming episode of 'Batwoman' will air on The CW at 8 pm ET.
