Release Date
'Bargain Mansions' Season 4 will premiere on November 9. A new episode of the show will air every Monday at 9 pm ET only on HGTV.
Plot
Six fresh episodes, each clocking 60 minutes, will see Tamara Day give crumbling Kansas City estate homes massive overhauls and add stunning style to them. The show also sees her working alongside her father and mentor, Ward Schraeder. Tamara takes care to keep the homes' historic features and unique architectural charm intact, while she modernizes layouts and adds luxe amenities to attract top dollar from buyers. The fresh renovations this season include a dark and dated 1960s Colonial whose untouched façade gets a bright transformation and the complete rebuild of a 1940s brick ranch-style house to add a second story and a finished basement with a media room. In addition, the episodes spotlight Tamara taking on personal projects in her own Kansas home, including updates to the main bathroom and backyard deck.
Host
Tamara Day
Tamara is a mother, designer, and television host from Kansas City. Her passion for design came early to her as she assisted her father, Ward, on all of his home renovation projects. She got married in 2000 and her husband had a background in flipping houses. In 2008, the couple bought their first house with an intention of making it their family's forever home. They were about to hire people to do most of the renovation work; however, the economy sunk and that's when Tamara decided to do most of the work herself. The process developed and honed her design style and skillset and that's when she decided to also get into the construction side of things. She also started going to garage sales to pick furniture for her house that she would restore as per her tastes. This fueled her passion for restoring furniture which she turned into a flourishing business. Things continued to be in an upward swing from there and shortly after she got her own show on HGTV.
