The old charm of a sweet, palatable romcom and an edgy insertion of the supernatural genre comes packaged in a delectable platter for fans of the genre, in the form of 'Bangkok Love Stories: Plead.' Following the anthology pattern that its 2018 installment carried, this segment of the Netflix original arrives this coming July and by the looks of the trailer, is set to explore all the classic tropes that a good indie rom-com is associated with.

Plot:

According to the official synopsis, as released by Netflix, set in Bangkok's Chinatown, the story follows a spirited digital marketing expert as he falls in love with a blind fortune-teller. But like most elaborate romance dramas, their love story is struck by lightning as their fate as a couple is predestined to end in disaster.

Ekachai Uekrongtham

The Singapore based Thai theater and film director is the founding artistic director of ACTION Theatre, a Singapore professional theatre company.

Cast:

Chanon Santinatornkul

The Thai actor is best known for starring in the 2017 film 'Bad Genius', as well as various television roles with Nadao Bangkok.

Sutatta Udomsilp

The Thai actress is all of 24 and has already dabbled in acting, singing and playing the piano like a pro.

Morakot Liu

Known for her exceptional freelance work, Liu has appeared in 'Heart Attack' (2015), 'Die Tomorrow' (2017) and 'Siam Square' (2017).

There are laughs and lies and hopes and despair as the couple goes meandering about their story and the lingering reminder that this is a star crossed love is a constant.
