Astro's Sanha on acting spree as he joins f(x) Krystal's K-drama 'Crazy Love'

While Sanha has acted in web dramas before, 'Crazy Love' will be the K-pop idol's first TV K-drama

Back in July, it was reported that f(x)’s Krystal would be further expanding her acting career by starring in the K-drama, ‘Crazy Love’. Kim Jae-wook of ‘Her Private Life’ fame is set to be cast as the male lead. And on October 4, a spokesperson from the production reported that more actors have been cast in the K-drama. One of them happens to be none other than Astro’s Sanha. The K-pop idol seems to be on an acting spree as this is his second casting announcement in a month.

Earlier, it was revealed that Sanha had bagged the main role in the web drama, ‘Your Playlist’. Fans and Astro were beside themselves when it was announced that his character would be hilariously known as ‘Big Daddy’. But to date, Sanha has only been in short web dramas aired on OTT platforms. He made his acting debut with ‘To Be Continued’, a pre-debut web drama to announce the debut of Astro. With his appearance in ‘Crazy Love’, it will be his first TV K-drama.

Astro's Sanha cast in K-drama

All of Astro have branched out in different fields and many of them have made a name for themselves in the K-drama industry. Moonbin has been acting in dramas since before his debut with Astro while MJ made his musical debut in ‘Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’. Eunwoo has become one of the most sought-after idol actors with hit dramas like ‘True Beauty’ and ‘Rookie Historian’. And it looks like his youngest member might be following in his footsteps.

Sanha is said to play the supporting role as Krystal’s younger brother. ‘Crazy Love’ is a rom-com about Noh Go-jin, a CEO of a top educational institute who pretends to have amnesia when someone threatens to murder him. Kim Jae-wook is set to play him while Krystal has been cast as his secretary, Lee Shin-ah. Shin-ah is a wallflower and pretends to be her CEO’s fiancee when diagnosed with a fatal illness. Filming is said to begin soon with the broadcast date set for February 2022.

Fans are trending Sanha as they’re excited for his K-drama debut. They made tweets like, “Krystal Jung and Yoon Sanha as siblings on Crazy Love to be aired on February 2022?
