BROOKLYN, NEW YORK: Multiple singles entered 'Jewish Matchmaking' to find their soulmates. While some, like Noah Del Monte, found their match at least on their third date, others were just unlucky in love. But the only thing similar about all the singles on the Netflix show was they were all seeking a partner through Shidduch to find their soulmate in the modern world.

Dating guru Aleeza Ben Shalom guided the cast of the Netflix dating show throughout the process but only a few got their ideal partners. Fay Brezel joined 'Jewish Matchmaking' in search of a life partner who is deeply connected with religion. However, she didn't try too many options and went on dates with just one person.

Fay Brezel's one shot at love

Fay is a devoutly Orthodox Jewish woman whose faith and culture are "core parts of her identity" and integral in her search for a life partner. Fay was raised in the Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn and is deeply grateful to be a part of a family where religious values were "modeled in a loving and beautiful manner from the outset." Fay is a licensed therapist and founder of the mental health and wellness platform OKclarity. While she has a thriving business, Fay didn't find any luck in love. She shared with Aleeza that she is looking for a man who "embodies being a frum Jew as much as I do," including not engaging in physical touch with potential partners before marriage. Considering Fay's criteria, dating coach Aleeza matched her with Shaya. Fay and Shaya instantly sparked a connection on their first date. In fact, Fay liked Shaya so much that she didn't feel like seeing anyone else after him. Notably, the feeling was mutual.

Are Fay Brezel and Shaya still together?

Fay and Shaya were together for just three dates. Despite the initial connection, they mutually decided to end the relationship on amicable terms. Shaya wanted someone in his life who appreciated him for who he is and not what he is aiming for. He wanted Fay to just "accept me the way lam, for who I am, and feel comfortable in front of each other." Meanwhile, Fay wanted someone who is more religious.

In an episode, Aleeza had a conversation with Fay to know their relationship status. She told Fay, "Heard you guys had like, electric chemistry. Like, you guys just clicked as people, as humans." Fay gushed as she replied, "He's so fun. Oh my goodness." Fay further noted, "We had our third date [and] we discussed where we were not so aligned, which was, like, our religious-lifestyle piece." Fay said the different religious lifestyles can impact how they bring up a family. She also admitted, "And because we were so early in the relationship and we were having already this deep conversation, we realized it makes the most sense to end." While they have decided to go their separate ways, Shaya still follows Fay on social media, suggesting they are still at least good friends.
