Who is the founder?
Tony Adeniran is the founder of Aqua Boxing Glove. As per his LinkedIn, Adeniran is an "Experienced Personal Trainer with a demonstrated history of working in the health wellness and fitness industry. Skilled in Sales, Management, Software Documentation, Payroll, and Recruiting. Strong community and social services professional with a BBA focused in Business Management from University of Texas at San Antonio/Texas A& M." Adeniran studied at the University of Texas at San Antonio and has a BBA in Business Management.
In a conversation with New Atlas, Adeniran explained that "fluid resistance" is the key to the gloves. "The energy or inertia you create by extending your punches works against you when you are retracting," he said. "It's very similar to the feeling you get during a fight when the lactic acid builds in your muscles causing fatigue and failure. It's a heavy feeling in the shoulders, biceps, and core, so allowing the water to flow freely and communicate throughout the glove and around the hand more closely mimics true fighters' fatigue in the later rounds," he added.
What is the cost and where to buy?
The Aqua Boxing Glove is currently available for pre-order on the brand's website and retails from $99 onwards. The brand also has polyester quick hands wraps for $20 and a carrying sports duffel bag for $39, all available for pre-order. The product has been reviewed well so far, with one consumer writing, "These gloves can help a lot of fighters extend their careers. People might not accept this training style at first, but I think it will be a gold standard in years to come."
Another wrote, "The Aqua Boxing Gloves are the perfect complement to my subscription training, and they are super easy to travel with. I even train in-between my fitness shoots to make sure I stay looking lean for the camera!"

As per the latest update on Kickstarter, the Aqua Boxing Glove has 151 backers who have pledged $40,706. The brand has also partnered with athletes who think highly of the product. Rudy Gay, NBA player of the Utah Jazz (formerly of the San Antonio Spurs), says, “This is a great product for rehab, endurance, and reflexes." Patricio O'Ward, a professional INDYCAR racer, is also known to use the Aqua Boxing Glove.
Who will steal the deal?
Although the Aqua Boxing Glove still seems to be in its Kickstarter phase, there is a good chance that Kevin Hart might be the one to invest in the product.
