LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Apple TV + is well on its way to becoming the largest streaming platform. And the amount of content the giant produces is nothing short of phenomenal. The latest addition to Apple TV + is 'Drops of God,' inspired by the best-selling manga by award-winning authors Tadashi Agi and Shu Okimoto. The manga made such an impression in its country of origin, Japan, that wine sales boomed after its release. 'Drops of God' is now in its fourth installment and the stakes are getting higher. The series has a varied segment and constantly switches from Japanese to French and vice versa. The highlight of the series is the commendable chemistry between the cast and how well they coordinate with each other.

The cast includes Fleur Geffrier, Tomohisa Yamashita, Makiko Watanabe, Satoshi Nikaido, Antoine Chappey, Tom Wozniczka, Luca Terracciano, and Azusa Okamoto in the lead along with others supporting the plot.

What is 'Drops of God' about? Plot of the Apple TV+ French-Japanese drama explained

Trauma response explored from the rearview

In the first few episodes, we saw that trauma was a big theme of the series. Camille kept getting flashbacks of her childhood when she worked in a wine cellar and understood wine in a deeper and more detailed way. The theme of the series suddenly changed direction and the competition became the highlight. It is assumed that there will not be many flashbacks from Camille and Issei's lives in the upcoming episodes, but Episode 4 goes back to Issei's university days and gives us a glimpse of how he met Camille's father Alexandre Leger. The episode was very exciting to watch as it looks back at Issei's life to show his past and do justice to his character.

What's the end game for Camille and Issei?

The tension between the two main characters is so great that we can not stop thinking: will they end up together? Well, there are many signs that the two main characters will end up together, as hinted in the arc from rivals to lovers, let us see where Camille and Issei end up and if they get the inheritance as one. In the coming episodes, we will learn more about the lives of Camille and Issei and see how the competition takes its own shape while overlooking how it affects each character involved with Alexandre Leger and his legacy.

'Drops of God' is now exclusively on Apple TV+.
