Two episodes in and 'Foundation' is already making waves. The series, a live adaptation of Isaac Asimov's sci-fi epic of the same name, was in the works since 1998 and finally made the screen in 2021 with Apple TV pushing out a ten-part series.

The show follows a mathematician and his protege with the former predicting a downfall of the Galactic empire followed by a lengthy Dark Age that would engulf the world. 'Foundation' was inspired by Edward Gibbon's work on the decline of the Roman Empire and by the 80s, the sci-fi epic had two prequels and as many sequels. While it is a slow burn tale, the show hasn't failed to mesmerize it's audience.

"Not enough people are talking about the adaption of Isaac Asimov’s Foundation which premieres on Apple TV+ this Friday, and that is not okay," read one of the tweets. For some, the challenge would be to recreate the grandiose setting. "bruh, this will be the first thing I watch on Apple TV+ Foundation was written by Issac Asimov. I am very curious how this will work out, as books aren't written in such a way that you can easily adapt them to the screen, it's more of a chronology of events than a story."

Some of the fans echoed the fact that the show had very less press leading up to its premiere. "Does anyone else feel like ‘Foundation’ on apple has had basically *no* press at all? If it weren’t for the Lee Pace fan accounts doing God’s work, I would have no clue this was even coming out! I know it’s up against Dune in terms of people’s attention, but still…" One segment of the audience however felt the show was too slow. "Watched the first half of Foundation and... I'll try the rest tomorrow. Maybe I'm just tired, but it's all a bit plodding," one tweet read.

"Damn not Me so impressed with Apple with all these #AppleTVPlus shows #See #TheMorningShow #Foundation #TedLasso" a fan opined, another segment was not impressed. "Dear @Apple What have you done to Foundation? #garbage #foundation," one of the fans wrote.
