LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: If you like build-up suspense and the whole idea of "Who's going to win?" excites you, then Apple TV+'s new French-Japanese series is surely going to make you ask for more. With only two episodes released and upcoming episodes to be released every week, 'Drops of God' has had a great headstart going in and creating an aura of suspense into the world of wine-tasting. The inspiration behind the show is a Japanese Manga series by the same name.

After a renowned connoisseur, Alexandre Leger dies, he leaves behind a big legacy and an even bigger fortune that contains 87,000 bottles of wine contained in a cellar worth nearly $150 million and an exceedingly manipulative will. To win the legacy and the very ambitious will, two people have to participate in a wine tasting test to make themselves worthy of the will. The two people comes out to be Alexandre's own daughter and his "spiritual son" who he taught about wine to.

Honing their wine tasting skills

While some TV show always has one lead that changes the dynamics of the story, with 'Drops of God' it is quite the opposite. Episode 2 takes us back into the competition, where and Camille Leger goes back to France to hone her wine-tasting skills from the same wineyard her father used to take her and Issei Tomine goes back to finding work as a wine connoisseur. But the series does a great job at making the competition interesting, unlike some TV shows where characters are planning each other's downfall.

There isn't just one lead

The best part about the show is that it tries to show Issei's world in Japan, where he is wishing and trying to win the legacy competition and panning back to France, where Camille is back to her childhood favorite place to get back her unique taste palatte, her dad help her create. There are two leads in the story and each character's perspective and past is as important as the other. We are guessing there are many twists and turns on the way for Camille and Issei, and we sure hope the best one wins. Tune in on Apple TV+ to enjoy the battle of Inheritance in the complicated world of wine with 'Drops of God'. The streaming channel will be releasing one episode every week.
