Avid rom-com genre fans will be excited to know that Prime Video is bringing to screens a modern day coming-of-age romantic comedy drama film ‘Anything’s Possible’. ‘Anything’s Possible’ has been directed by Emmy award winning star Billy Porter and produced by Christine Vachon and David Hinojosa of Killer Films alongside DJ Gugenheim and Andrew Lauren of Andrew Lauren productions. The script has been written by Ximena Garcia Lecuona.

The film ‘Anything’s Possible’ starcast includes Abubakr Ali, Eva Reign, Renee Elise Goldsberry, Courtnee Carter among others. Meanwhile, audiences can also check out films like ‘Butlers in Love’ and ‘A Tail of Love’ to satiate their cravings of watching well-made romantic comedy films.

The much awaited coming-of-age romantic comedy drama film ‘Anything’s Possible’ is releasing globally by July 22, 2022 on Prime Video at 3:01 am EST.

What is the plot of ‘Anything’s Possible’?

The plot of the film revolves around a confident trans girl named Kelsa (Eva Reign) who’s in her final year of high school. A boy named Khal (Abubakr Ali) confesses having a crush on Kelsa to his friends. He then slowly starts mustering up courage and one day he ends up proposing Kelsa to be his girlfriend despite knowing about the chaotic drama it could cause.

The trailer definitely is piquing curiosity amongst fans as it gives out the ‘Heartstopper’ vibe which describes the gentleness and tenderness of young innocent love. The film mark’s Eva Reign’s first leading role in a feature film.

The official synopsis reads, “Anything’s Possible is a delightfully modern Gen Z coming-of-age story that follows Kelsa, a confident high school girl who is trans, as she navigates through senior year. When her classmate Khal gets a crush on her, he musters up the courage to ask her out, despite the drama he knows it could cause. What transpires is a romance that showcases the joy, tenderness, and pain of young love."

Abubakr Ali as Khal

The 31-years-old Arab/Muslim star, Abubakr Ali got global fame and recognition with AMC’s drama series ‘The Walking Dead: World Beyond’. He has also acted in television series like ‘Power Book II: Ghost’ and ‘Katty Keene’. Ali is going to be seen portraying the lead role of Khal in the awaited coming-of-age rom-com dramedy film ‘Anything’s Possible’ that is releasing globally on Prime Video.

Latest news about ‘Anything’s Possible’

Not many know that the film marks the relaunch of iconic film production house Orion Pictures which is a part of MGM. The film has been directed by Emmy award winning star Billy Porter which marks his directorial debut in the industry.

The film ‘Anything’s Possible’ has been shot and filmed in Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania. Initially, back in November 2020, it was revealed that actor Billy Porter would be marking his feature directorial debut in Hollywood with 'What If?', from a screenplay by Ximena García Lecuona that had also appeared on the 2020 Black List. The film would mark the start of MGM's relaunch of Orion Pictures and deal with Killer Films.

It was only in this year April 2022, where it got officially announced that the film’s title, which was initially ‘What If?’, had been renamed to ‘Anything's Possible’.

Initially, Yasmin Finney had been originally brought onboard to portray the lead character of Kelsa but because of her visa issues, she couldn’t act in the film; and then replacing Finney, Eva Reign grabbed the lead role of Eva in ‘Anything’s Possible'.

Originally, the film was intended for a theatrical release but in May 2022, it got announced that the film would be released globally on Amazon Prime Video. On June 1, the film’s release date was finalized for July 22, 2022.
