Contains spoilers for 'Andor' Episode 7 'Announcement'

'Andor'  Episode 7 may have seen the action take a backseat, but was still the perfect episode thanks to some intricate storytelling. Throw in the emotions for good effect, and that makes the chapter even more engrossing as the story moves to the aftermath of the Imperial garrison raid in Aldhani.

At one end, Kyle Soller's Syril Karn takes a job at the Bureau of Standards, while Dedra Meero (Denise Gough) finally scores a win and gets her investigation into the crime at planet Ferrix authorized, much to the chagrin of her male fellow officers. Cassian (Diego Luna) returns home but fails to convince Maarva (Fiona Shaw) to escape the planet with him, while Mon Mothma (Genevieve O'Reilly) makes a case to kickstart the Rebellion to full throttle by accessing funds that she needs, even when she's aware that the Empire has been looking into it.

'Andor' Episode 7: Will Adria Arjona's Bix Caleen be seen again in the Diego Luna-starrer?

'Announcement' may come off as a long phase of the just dialogue, but it's that necessary prologue before the action returns. The episode ends with Cassian falsely sentenced to six years for crimes that he didn't commit, and perhaps this has to do with the rebels may be hatching a plan to break him free and getting him back to the fold. With Vel Sartha (Faye Marsay) warned about Cassian, this could very well be a ploy to capture him. That said, the series has picked up the pace, despite the fact that not all episodes are action-packed.

The episode ends in a way as to leave the door open for what to expect. Will there be another Rebel attack with Cassian on the side? The series will see Syril and Dedra cross paths at some point, and that makes for an interesting storyline. Will the former work with the ISB, or will he switch ranks and join the rebels — note that he does have a conscience, and isn't necessarily Empire blood. For now, it's best to end by calling 'Andor' excellent TV.

'Andor' Episode 7 is streaming on Disney+
