Washington DC's NEITHER was one of the contestants in Week 4 of the 'American Song Contest' and safe to say, his 'I Like It' had fans confused about the genre, but did also have them grooving and nodding their heads in approval. The responses did vary on social media though with the fans dishing out mixed responses.

This week's contestants include — Alexis Cunningham (West Virginia), Bri Steves (Pennsylvania), Bronson Varde (Hawaii), Jared Lee (Massachusetts), Las Marias (Arizona), MARi (New Hampshire), The Crystal Method (Nevada), Savannah Keyes (Utah), Stela Cole (Georgia), and Allen Stone (Washington).

"#AmericanSongContest Song 4 - Show 4 Washington, D.C. — NËITHER — “I Like It” Song was good but i like the stage act woth two housed of back-up dancers but reall good My score - 6," one of the tweets read. "I missed @MusicByLadyK's performance. Probably was better than Nëither from #AmericanSongContest . #IDOL #AmericanIdol," another opined. "Neither’s song is so peculiar. It has hip-hop and pop, a weird af progressive structure, and classical instruments in the arrangement. It has a lot of potential. But sadly it feels so chaotic and unfinished. The performance was in the same line of chaos #AmericanSongContest," a tweet remarked.

"4. D.C. - NËITHER: “I Like It” His vocals are shaky, but I REALLY love the pre chorus. That’s about it for the song for me though. Just kinda a wall of sound. #AmericanSongContest," one of the comments read. "I don’t know what genre Neither’s song is, but I LIKE IT (see what I did there?) #AmericanSongContest," a fan exclaimed. "8- Nëither - “I like it” - Washington D.C. This song is so damn weird. The production and mix sounds unfinished, it feels so chaotic. Feels like a hip-pop track, then we have a progressive-classical arrangement, it truly baffles me #AmericanSongContest," another comment said.
