Ryan Charles of Wyoming brought some western cowboy rap to the 'American Song Contest' stage. He was rather vocal about just how much he loves Wyoming and even joked about their new motto: "Wyoming isn't real, so don't come down here". For his song, Charles performed 'New Boot Goofin', which was inspired by his uncle. Seeing that everyone in Wyoming owns a pair of boots, the song was his way of staying true to his western ways.
'New Boot Goofin' was an instant hit among fans and if there is any song that proved to be the most catchy of the night, it was certainly Ryan Charles'. "Wyoming's contribution to the #AmericanSongContest is hilarious and legendary. Truly the San Marino of this contest." tweeted a fan. "New boot goofin was kinda fun don't judge me y'all #AmericanSongContest" added another. "so america can do eurovision staging but eurovision could never do new boot goofin'. sorry but i had to say it #americansongcontest" added a fan.
"#RyanCharles New boot goofin' is poppin'. #AmericanSongContest" said a fan. "I was not expecting THIS…

"Song 10: Wyoming Oh for sure if any song tonight goes viral, it's this one. It's so TikTok friendly. It's definitely one of those songs uptight Eurovision fans would call a "joke entry" without realizing that it's actually culturally relevant lmao #AmericanSongContest" tweeted a fan. "Ok, I laugh now, but Wyoming's song is going to live rent free in my head for the next three days #AmericanSongContest" noted another.
