'The Masked Singer' Season 7 Spoilers: Is Teyana Taylor the Firefly? Here are clues

The smart fans of 'The Masked Singer' somehow managed to decode the clues and concluded that Teyana Taylor is the celebrity underneath Firefly mask

The Firefly's performance on the premiere episode of 'The Masked Singer' Season 7 grabbed everybody's attention and made headlines not only for its jaw-dropping good vocals that had both the judges and fans convinced that the Firefly could be the potential winner of the season, but also the medical emergency that forced her to stop her performance mid-way.

Representing Team Good, the sultry Firefly confidently strutted onto the stage and began her amazing performance to Chaka Khan's 'Ain't Nobody', when she suddenly began choking and was rushed off the stage. While everybody panicked about her health, Firefly, later calmly returned onto the stage and finished her performance. After watching her sing, the judges- Ken Jeong, Robin Thicke, Nicole Scherzinger, and Jenny McCarthy, immediately identified her as one of the top contenders of the season and began throwing around names like Alicia Keyes to Monica Denise as the celebrity underneath the sexy insect costume. But based on the clues from her package, hawk-eyed fans believe that it's Teyana Taylor who is underneath the Firefly mask. Read on to know all the clues that point at this actress/ singer.

Clues for Firefly

Wearing a skin-hugging bodysuit, Firefly managed to somehow turn the creepy bug into a sexy insect. Her clue package had several subtle hints revealing her identity. Aside from the tiara, the other clues included the Statue of liberty, a photo of Tyler Perry, and even a program for a Live Comedy show at the Apollo Theater!

She also revealed that she has been performing all her life and that it felt amazing each time she stepped onto the stage. She added, "There's nothing worse than running on empty with my busy schedule and concluded by saying that it isn't always easy for her to keep her antennas glowing. While these clues might seem very scattered and confusing, the smart fans of the FOX show somehow managed to decode them all and come to the conclusion that Teyana Taylor is the celebrity underneath the Firefly mask. 

Is Teyana Taylor under Firefly Mask?

The Statue of Liberty from the clue package could be a nod to her Harlem roots, as she was born there. She also appeared on 'Showtime at the Apollo' which the clue package was hinting at with the Apollo Theater hint. Tyler Perry's appearance can be attributed to her starring in his Madea movie. If you're wondering what the tiara was doing in the clue package, then it could be a homage to the singer's stint on 'My Super Sweet 16'.

Several fans took to Twitter to declare that it was Teyana hiding underneath the Firefly mask. A fan tweeted, "Firefly is Teyana Taylor I wasn't gon be able to sleep until I figured it out! I know that sig note from anywhere lol I'm geeked #MusicLover #Tones #LikeButtah #TheMaskedSinger #TeyanaTaylor." Another fan wrote, "Firefly is literally Teyana Taylor! #TheMaskedSinger." "#TheMaskedSinger Firefly is Teyana Taylor!!! Debate me!" declared a fan.

Another fan pointed out, "The firefly is definitely Teyana Taylor @TEYANATAYLOR the clues were Apollo “HARLEM” the Tyler Perry clue “Madeas Big Happy Family Byronnnnnnnn” Statute Of Liberty clue “she’s front NY” & last clue that VOICE I know and love it #TheMaskedSinger." "The firefly is Teyana Taylor. She’s worked with Tyler Perry, she was in Kanye West’s video for his song Fade which put the spotlight on her and her music when it came out, she’s from NY ANDDDD…ik Teyana when I hear Teyana #TheMaskedSinger," seconded a fan. "The Firefly is definitely Teyana Taylor I knew by the stance when she first walked out. Then the clues match her and that was definitely her voice. #TheMaskedSinger #firefly #teyanataylor," commented a fan.

While all the clues do point at Teyana Taylor possibly being Firefly, we will have to wait until the unmasking to see whether it is indeed her or not. We can't wait to see who is hiding underneath the Firefly mask, but until then we'll be looking for more clues that might confirm our guesses.
