Thomas Patrick Moran, one of the newest contestants on the fourth episode of ‘American Idol’ Season 20 got the attention of all the three judges with his magnetic personality the moment he walked in for the audition. The Colorado native proved to be one big ball of energy and got Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie in splits with his Irish dancing and soon his mother too joined in the fun.

In a rare chance of events, Thomas Moran got to sing two songs. He first sang ‘Chain of Fools’ by Aretha Franklin which failed to impress the judges. He then went for ‘River’ by Leon Bridges which put the trio in a bit of confusion. Luke Bryan without wasting any time gave a firm no whereas, Lionel Richie and Katy Perry agreed to give him a chance in Hollywood thus handing him the coveted golden ticket. Lionel dubbed Thomas a natural-born entertainer adding that he wanted to give this class clown a chance as he thought Thomas in Hollywood would be hilarious. A few of the social media users too were left amused by his antics on the show.
