PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA: Prime Video's crime drama, 'American Rust: Broken Justice' picks up after the events of season one, precisely four months later.

In the first season, Billy Poe (Alex Neustaedter), in order to protect his best buddy Isaac English (David Alvarez), accepts responsibility for a murder committed by Isaac.

However, things take a sudden turn for him when he is savagely thrashed by his prison inmates, resulting in his coma.

Initially, it seemed Billy appeared to be ready to move on from his dark past, but as the season progressed, it became clear that Billy is still coping with trauma, which is affecting his mental health.

The seventh episode of the series serves as a reminder that Billy is still struggling with trauma, which has led to his unusual behavior.

Billy, along with Isaac and Lee English (Julia Mayorga), is spotted at his parents' dinner party to celebrate their divorce. However, Billy appears uninterested.

He goes to the drinking counter and begins slurping down the alcohol, which causes his mother Grace Poe (Maura Tierney), and father Virgil Poe (Mark Pellegrino ) to worry.

Grace approaches him and tells him that he is her favorite and that the reason for the gathering is to see him, as he is rarely available these days.

Later, Lee approaches him and begs him to reduce his alcohol intake before joining the rest at the dinner table.

Things were going well at the dinner table, with both Grace and Virgil toasting to their divorce.

However, things take an unexpected turn when Billy rises up and announces his intention to join the army, ending the sentence with a hoah!

In a very inebriated state, he asks the dinner guests if they have joined the army and directs the query to his father, criticizing his lack of responsibility.

Finally, he shouts, "Happy divorce, Mom and Dad," and vomits on the dining table, specifically on his meal.
