Despite her victory, numerous viewers took to social media to voice their disappointment, criticizing Carter's singing as mediocre and raising doubts about the authenticity of her win.

Critics argued that other contestants, notably Jack Blocker and Will Moseley, consistently delivered superior performances throughout the season and were more deserving of the title than Carter.

They accused the show of predetermined outcomes and claimed that Carter's victory was orchestrated by producers from the start. Fans cited specific instances where they believed the judging and voting process favored Carter unfairly, ultimately leading to her eventual win.

One fan wrote, "No way is Abi Carter better than Will and I'm not even a country music fan! Even Julia is a better vocalist! What a sham!". "I wanted Will Moseley to win. Abi Carter sounds like so many other singers," added another. "I am so bummed that Jack didn't win #AmericanIdol! It's obvious that Abi is going to be the winner, unfortunately. However, Jack will ultimately have the biggest/best career of them all, in my opinion," wrote another fan. 

Another fan said, "What’s the deal with Abi? Kane Brown told her she needs to walk around the stage. And he’s not the 1st to tell her to do it. She just ignores them". "This show is rigged. Abi will not have a career after they announce her as winner after this," added another. "Let the conspiracy theories start how it was rigged & Billie’s message to Abi was a tell tell sign," said one.

Who was eliminated in 'American Idol' Season 22 finale?

Jack Blocker was the first finalist to be eliminated from the ABC show. He performed 'I'll Be There For You' and 'All My Ex's Live In Texas' during his final performances. Following his elimination, he took to social media, expressing gratitude by stating, "Man what a blessing to kick it on #IDOL with so many heroes new and old."

He added, "Cannot wait to keep making music for you as long as the good Lord allows it!! THANK YOU x10000000." However, Will Moseley was also eliminated during the finale, ultimately being crowned as the runner-up of the ABC show. Meanwhile, the Top 3 finalists Abi Carter, Jack Blocker, and Will Moseley have recently made a $20,000 donation to the Local Music Programs.
