Who Is Kya Monee?

Kya Monee is among the singers who auditioned for this year's American Idol. The R&B artist belongs to Houston, Texas, which has been home to several talented musicians including Beyonce, Megan Thee Stallion, and Travis Scott. Monee is working hard to add her name to the list. She graduated in 2022. However, she started singing at a very early age and music became an important part of her life. Apart from singing, she also loves helping others. Voyage Dallas previously reported that Kya is the founder of an organization called Teen Advisory. She also once teamed up with another 'American Idol' star, Willie Spence, who made it up to finals, to host a charity concert in Georgia.

She sang a duet of Rihanna's 'Stay' with Willie Spence during Hollywood Week which left Katy Perry in tears. Moreover, Lionel Richie called her performance 'Divine' and referred to her as 'our wonder woman.'
