'American Idol’: Judges ask Jacob Moran to sing from heart, fans say he 'gets a 10'

Speaking of Jacob Moran’s set, Lionel Richie asserted that it was one of his greatest performances in a long time

Jacob Moran was one of the singers who got a tremendous response from the judges when he appeared in the latest episode of ‘American Idol’ season 20. Jacob, who had earlier auditioned for the singing reality show in 2019, got his hopes high for the top 20 after the judges namely Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan showered him with praises.
 
Jacob Moran performed his rendition of ‘In My Blood’ by Shawn Mendes and got the live audience jump with excitement. Speaking of his set, Richie asserted that it was one of Jacob’s greatest performances in a long time. Bryan, who seemed equally impressed with Jacob’s top 24 performance, said that it was really a high-level singing from his end. Perry too got floored by the singer’s latest performance as she felt he had an incredible voice and that he rode the song well. However, she did ask him to sing more with his heart and be more free next time he hits the stage.

‘Just give him the title’

Social media users were all in for Jacob’s performance as one of the users stated, “Your voice is one of the most pleasing I've ever heard!!! You got 10 from me! Awesome Jacob!” Another shared, “So many goosebumps! I had to put a blanket over my arms! You’re amazing!!”  One user posted, “OMG. Just give him the title.  WOW.”  Another said, “I think Probably Jacob Morgan he would be stay hopefully get top 20 deserved make it 100% for sure.”
 
The next one tweeted, “Jacob Moran will always have my heart I was so happy to see him back. I’ve loved his voice since his first time going through #AmericanIdol. This performance tonight was BEAUTIFUL AND SIMPLY PERFECT.I LOVE IT.” And, one concluded, “Jacob Moran chooses some excellent songs. Starts emotionally, good restraint and pulse. Makes that explosion so powerful, his voice is phenomenal! Chills!”
