The second episode of ‘American Idol’ Season 20 aired on Sunday, March 6, where judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan handed over the coveted golden ticket to Hollywood to the deserving ones. A 20-year-old contestant named Luke Taylor walked into the show and left the trio speechless the moment they heard his deep heavy voice- just like the one we hear in the voiceovers for adventure movies and action video games.

Luke Taylor serenaded the judges on the singing reality show with his rendition of Johnny Cash’s ‘Ring of Fire’. Social media users along with the judges felt he should definitely drop a Christmas album and that he could have a successful career in voice-over industry. Luke Bryan even made the young lad sing a song that his wife had requested. Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan were impressed by Taylor’s performance and gave him thumbs up to continue his journey on the show. Katy Perry, however, felt he needed more time and required more practice to work on his singing skills. Taylor will now be seen in the next round after he managed to bag the golden ticket. The show is expected to air a total of 18 episodes and might wrap up in late May.
