Kari Baxter (Ali Cobrin) is indeed a standout character in 'The Baxters'. Throughout the series, Kari's character shines through as someone who is caring, compassionate, and always puts her family first.

After finding out that her husband had cheated on her, Kari did not give up on her family values, nor did she attempt to seek revenge by cheating on him with someone else.

Kari chose to handle the situation with grace and integrity, staying true to herself and her beliefs. She also forgave him, which is not something everyone can do.

In the series, Kari is also shown to be there for her sisters in times of need. In various episodes, Kari is also seen seeking her parents' advice and guidance, demonstrating her love and respect for them.

Ashley Baxter (Masey McLain) is considered one of the best characters in 'The Baxters' for several reasons. She is portrayed as someone who is not perfect but is always striving to be better.

When Kari's husband cheated on her, she gave her the best advice to leave him, but Kari wanted to give their relationship a second chance.

Coming from a family with strong religious values, Ashley's advice to Kari to leave her husband after his infidelity reflects the strong beliefs and principles that guide Ashley's life.

When Ashley found out that she was HIV positive, she selflessly encouraged her boyfriend to leave her and pursue happiness elsewhere, showcasing her deep concern for his happiness above her own.

3. Elizabeth Baxter

When her son Luke Baxter (Josh Plasse) left home, Elizabeth began to miss him dearly and always defended him, showcasing her unconditional love and loyalty as a mother.

When Elizabeth found out that Kari's husband had cheated on her, she supported her daughter. Even when Kari wanted to give her marriage a second chance, she continued to support her daughter's decision.

One of the most compelling aspects of Elizabeth's character is her ability to provide guidance and wisdom to her children while also giving them the space to make their own decisions.

Introduced as Kari's former lover in Season 1, Ryan's reemergence in Kari's life marks a pivotal moment in the series. Despite knowing that Kari had lost her husband, Ryan's proposal in Season 2 showcases his love for Kari.

However, in some scenes in Season 2, Ryan's behavior toward Kari seems to give her a hard time, which places him as the fourth-best character in the series.
