Trust 'All Rise' to follow the pattern of most teasing procedurals on CBS and take random weeks off from airing. Having returned just two weeks ago on January 25 from its second break this season, the CBS legal drama might be airing tonight, but expect a blank disappointment, same time next week when you tune into the channel at 9 pm. There is no new episode of 'All Rise' airing next week, even though tonight's episode comes after last week's hiatus. Wondering when all the drama surrounding a lack of Lola in the courtroom returns? Read on to find out.

According to TV listings, the next episode of 'All Rise' returns to CBS in two weeks' time. Season 2's Episode 9 will air on Monday, February 22, at its 9 pm time slot, only on CBS. The epsiode titled 'Safe to Fall', will see courtroom emotions and wars fully ablaze as mental illness and family tensions take the limelight. The official synopsis describes the plot as: "Emily and Sam face off in the courtroom in an emotionally gripping case that will determine the fate of a mentally ill young man who attacked his father. Also, due to financial struggles, Rachel crashes at Mark and Amy's place, reigniting Mark and Rachel's flame."

Why is 'All Rise' Season 2 Episode 8 not airing?

This comes after tonight's Episode 8 titled 'Bette Davis Eyes' that will see "Mark forced to prosecute his childhood icon, Samara Strong (Lesley Ann Warren), an '80s Hollywood star accused of murdering her husband 30 years ago. It's a showdown between him and celebrity lawyer Adam Pryce (Jere Burns), who makes a mockery of the courthouse. To make matters worse, Judge Laski (Paul McCrane) is presiding over cases in 802 while Lola is on maternity leave."

The reason behind these random break has to be to film newer episodes as Covid-19 guidelines presumably didn't allow shows to finish filming their 22-episode seasons at once or in bulk. Sometimes shows take random weeks off from airing to fill out a few months' time slot with limited episodes, so they spaced things out a little giving fans time to brush up their memory about the show's older episodes as well. And sure enough, next week, Season 1's Episode 12 is airing at the show's usual time slot.

Titled 'What The Constitution Greens to Me', the synopsis of the episode describes: "Following her battle with the Commission of Judicial Performance, Lola questions her own brand of creative justice. And when Benner assigns Lola a politically charged eco-terrorism trial that involves a senator's son, once again, Lola realizes she must trust her instincts in order to succeed."

'All Rise' Season 2 airs on Mondays at 9 pm only on CBS.
