'American Horror Story: 1984' series finale spoilers tease Finn Wittrock's highly anticipated return to the franchise and an epic showdown

The one thing that leaves us haunted and accurately excited for the coming episode is Margaret's little announcement about how if one died on the camp's grounds, dead is all they'll ever be.

Amidst all of that obsession with death, the ninth and final episode of 'American Horror Story: 1984' gives us the long-overdue return of AHS alum Finn Wittrock as a still-secret character.

Wittrock can be seen arriving at Camp Redwood and immediately getting absolutely befuddled by the maniacal group of undead people walking around in that land of purgatory. The promotional teaser for the episode titled 'Final Girl' shows Wittrock's character coming across Montana (Billie Lourd) and Trevor (Matthew Morrissey) who are now pretty much couple goals for all things toxic and somehow still... cute?

Back to Wittrock's character - the guy comes to Camp Redwood and is immediately ambushed by Montana asking him to shoot her, with Trevor standing right behind, asking him to slit his throat. If the batsh*t crazy demands weren't crazy enough, the two actually kill themselves in front of this new guy in a classic Camp Redwood welcome and then come back alive through the front door again.

Meanwhile, Ramirez can be seen disturbed and hallucinating - probably something not so favorable for his Satanism, as Brooke gets closer and closer to Margaret in her attempt to expose the woman who wrongfully put her behind the bars and eventually, a death sentence. This is something contradicting Brooke's earlier claims to leave her past behind, but that only makes things so much better because a Margaret and Camp Counsellor face-off is on the way too.

The one thing that leaves us haunted and accurately excited for the coming episode is Margaret's little announcement about how if one died on the camp's grounds, dead is all they'll ever be. Does this mean Margaret dies in the finale? Is this a commentary on her life after death on those purgatorial grounds? Only the season finale will tell!

'American Horror Story: 1984' airs on Wednesdays at 10 pm only on FX.
