'AGT' Season 19: Watch Sofia Vergara 'help out' Heidi Klum as A.merica's G.olden T.iger bombs
PASADENA, CALIFORNIA: Auditions for the fifth round of 'America's Got Talent' Season 19 resumed on Tuesday, July 2, with additional hopefuls vying for a chance to showcase their talents during the live shows. However, the initial set of performances on Tuesday night proved to be overwhelming for both the judges and the audience alike.
The episode began on a sour note as the judges promptly hit their 'X' buttons. A.merica's G.olden T.iger's audition in Episode 5 was briefly showcased, featuring cringe-worthy jokes about women.

Howie Mandel, Sofía Vergara, and Simon Cowell all buzzed the act. Despite Heidi Klum initially missing her chance to buzz, Sofía ensured the fourth X buzzer was pressed as she leaned over Heidi to do so. She was eliminated from the competition when all four judges voted "No".

What does the red buzzer mean on 'America's Got Talent'?
Every judge has a buzzer they can use during a performance if they're unimpressed, find it not worth their time, or believe it's not good enough. If all judges buzz a participant, their performance ends instantly.

Cast in Bronze got a second chance on 'AGT' after getting buzzed by judges
Certain performances have occasionally been initially "buzzed off" but later allowed to proceed. One such example is Cast in Bronze, whose outdoor performance with only X paddles initially raised doubts among the judges.

Audience has power over 'AGT' judge's buzzed acts in live shows
The buzzer was also accessible on the America's Got Talent app, allowing users to customize it with remarks from the judges. Every year, the buzzer makes an appearance during the live performances.
After every live show performance in Season 1, buzzers were used to indicate approval or displeasure. Starting from Season 4, if every judge gives an act their buzzer, the performance is canceled, though fans can still vote for them.

Stream 'America's Got Talent' Season 19 on NBC at 8 pm ET on Tuesdays.
