'AGT' Season 17 Semifinals: Fans slam Simon for saying Freckled Zelda's performance was 'over produced'

'That may be a sound issue, not necessarily her fault. Audio issues should’ve been something that got solved during sound check,' said a fan

PASADENA, CALIFORNIA: The heat is on, as the 'America's Got Talent' live shows progress. With each artist taking it up a notch, their performance this week determines if they'll advance forward or if they'll have to bid farewell to their dream of winning 'AGT'.

Before her performance, Freckled Zelda noted that her audition felt like a video game, with the judges being the gatekeepers. But having been judged her whole life, she didn't want to hide. Even though Simon Cowell was not a fan of the ocarina, she added that it was the biggest part of her. Even though performing on this stage was overwhelming, she was all set to give it her best.

As the performance took place, Heidi Klum noted that her daughter and her friend were a part of the audience, only because they came to see Freckled Zelda. While she got mostly positive reviews, Simon Cowell called her performance 'over produced' and noted that he couldn't hear her too well. However, fans argued that was more of a production issue.

"Freckled Zelda would be great at a Renaissance Fair... But not #agt worthy!" said a fan. "The audacity of Simon to blame Freckled Zelda though when it's the shows own fault for it being "over produced". #AGT" tweeted a fan. "That may be a sound issue, not necessarily her fault. Audio issues should’ve been something that got solved during sound check. #agt" said another. "Not Simon saying that the audio was over produced. THAT'S Y'ALLS OWN FAULTS. We complain about audio issues every year Simon, y'all need to fix your shit. #AGT" tweeted a fan. "I kind of agree with Simon. I actually think she didn't showcase her full vocal range tonight. #AGT" added a fan.
