aespa's Giselle donates 10 million won to animal shelter, fans say 'she's an angel'
aespa is full of animal lovers and Giselle has gone one step further to use her status to help an NGO. On June 3, it was reported that the K-pop idol had ended up anonymously donating to a shelter for abandoned animals. The Instagram account of the animal shelter Yuhengsa made a post thanking Giselle after they realized that she had been the anonymous donor who had generously helped them.
The NGO thanked Giselle and wrote, “A few days ago, 10,000,000 KRW was deposited into Yuhengsa's account anonymously. It turns out the sponsor was Aespa’s Giselle 🙌🏻Giselle, who has always been very interested in the issue of abandoned animals, said that she continued to watch Yuhengsa’s Instagram with interest, and she made such a generous move by sending such a large amount of donation! Giselle 💛Thank you so much for accompanying us on the path to finding happiness for abandoned animals🙏🏻We will always watch and support you in the future 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻We sincerely ask for your kind support for our actions that brings happiness to abandoned animals!"

Giselle donates to animal shelter
Fans of aespa were touched as the animal shelter revealed that Giselle had been the one to donate 10 million won ($7.9K) and that she has often shown an interest in helping abandoned animals. The Instagram post was full of supportive comments as other animal lovers commended Giselle for her thoughtful action. However, there were some Knetz and non-fans who have been sending hate since the anonymous donation was revealed and claimed that it was a strategy to make aespa look good.
Some Knetz made sarcastic posts like, “Don't forget she donated >anonymously<.” Another added, “It's random, but I bet SM have to give their agreement for donations like that too.. Nowadays, Aespa's image haven't been good so I wonder if they're trying to set them up like that…” One tweeted, “Giselle and anonymous make it make sense.”
‘Best girl’
But fans are not having it and are slamming back at the haters, “Anonymous or not it was a good dead. The hate for Aespa/Giselle is ridiculous at this point. If it was another popular 4th gen female idol the comments 100% wouldn’t look like this.” Another posted, “A few days ago, Giselle made an anonymously donate to a yuhengsa (a nonprofit organization to helps abandoned animals) with a total of 10,000,000 won. She’s an angel fr.”
One said, “10,000,000 won is 423,546.47 in philippine peso that's a lot of money, but giselle did not hesitate to donate that much money. GISELLE YOU'RE THE BEST.” Another commented, “If you received such a big amount of donation you'll literally dig it out to figure who's who. Try to think before you tweet something, they tweeted it to show their gratitude.” One joked, “Hellow giselle can you donate to me, i'm a homo sapien specie under kingdom animalia/j ANYWAYS BEST GIRL.” Another shared, “I love everyone who donates to animal shelters, they deserve to live in better conditions and getting love.”
