When Adam took Danielle out on their first date (with his family along), Danielle had no idea that this lanky blonde would be her husband and the father of her six children. But as most romances go, you fall in love when you least expect it.

From meeting in the oreo aisle of Target to having the first set all-girl quints in USA, 'OutDaughtered's Adam and Danielle Busby have had quite the journey, with enough twists and turns to keep it as exciting as ever. And by the looks of it, the spark is still very much alive!

The couple met in 2003

You can find a range of things when you're at Target (raise your hand if you're also guilty of a shopping spree). And if we're to take Adam and Danielle's advice, you might just luck out and find love too! The couple's cute love story began at a Target, where they both were working at the time, seeing that a new outlet had opened up in their town. In an article by the brand itself, Danielle explained how it all began.

“Adam and I both started working at a brand-new Target that opened in our hometown. Though our departments were right next to each other and we saw each other all the time, it took Adam seven months to say one word to me,” Danielle explained. “Soon after we started hanging out, and a few weeks later he finally asked me on a date. The rest is history!”

It might have taken Adam seven months to say something, but when he did, he hit it out of the ballpark. His first words were "Hi Beautiful". Danielle mentions in a blog post that she wasn't exactly impressed by his cheesy approach. "Oh wow! You never talk to me and now you're trying to hit on me….real smooth," she recounted.

But seeing that they started spending their 15-minute lunch breaks together, it worked like a charm! Although Danielle does mention in the same blog that their first date did not go as planned — Adam ditched her in order to spend time with his friends.

"Work day finally ends, I go home to get ready and the phone rings, it’s Adam! He basically goes on to tell me he decided to hangout with his boys. Ummmmm did he just beg me to go out with him earlier and now is ditching me…no way!!! " she wrote, reliving the memory. It's a good thing Danielle stuck around for the next date, seeing that it all worked out in the end. Looks like Cupid really hit his target!

They tied the knot in 2006

The couple's engagement story is absolutely adorable, seeing that Danielle genuinely had no idea it was coming. When Adam asked her back then what she wanted for her birthday, little did she know he'd put on an interesting spin on her request. "Two and half years later he asked what I wanted for my birthday and I said a necklace, bracelet or a right hand ring… and this guy ends up buying me an engagement ring. I had no idea!" she wrote.

She even mentioned just how special the timing of it all was. "He proposed the day after my birthday, Christmas Eve (what another great story that is…can you imagine lol), and I was in complete shock! Six months later we were married (man we were so young!)." The couple tied the knot on April 5, 2006.

Their journey to parenthood has been far from easy

The Busby's became a household name when Danielle gave birth to the first set of all-girl quintuplets in the USA. But their journey to parenthood was far from easy. The couple struggled with fertility, seeing that Adam's testosterone levels, sperm count and motility were low, while Danielle had irregular ovulation. The couple had their oldest daughter, Blayke and the quintuplets through artificial insemination. The quints were all born prematurely and had to spend several months in the NICU. Heart murmurs were detected in all five of them at birth but were treated immediately. They've all grown into healthy little girls that are full of life and energy and who enjoy keeping their parents on their toes.
