Major spoilers ahead for season 2 episode 7 'Ten Years' of 'A Million Little Things'

The makers of 'A Million Little Things' had us guessing since the first season ended - who is PJ's (Chandler Riggs) father? Could it be possible that Jon (Ron Livingston) is his father

As it turns out, it is entirely possible.

PJ spent the last few episodes desperately trying to join the dots of his parentage. The first clue came in the form of the video recording that Jon left PJ's mother Barbara (Drea de Matteo). "I think something happened between Jon and my mother after Dave died," he had told Rome in 'Mixed Signals', "Why was leaving a tape for my mom the last thing that Jon did?"

And when Rome added that the last thing that Jon did was to leave Barbara half a million dollars, it cemented doubts in PJ's mind. And he sends his and Jon's samples, which he picked in Delilah's (Stephanie Szostak) house, for a DNA test. This episode, Rome (Romany Malco) and Gina (Christina Moses) are also waiting for the results to know the truth about Jon and PJ.

In the meanwhile, PJ finds himself in a difficult space. He is restless to know the results, yet somewhere deep down he knows what the truth is - that Jon is his father. He shows up unannounced at Gina and Rome's house with coffee and scones. Even when he agrees to come to Theo's (Tristan Byon) birthday party upon invitation by Sophie (Lizzy Greene), he does so only to get to know someone who knew Jon - despite being fully aware that Sophie has a crush on him.

But Gina urges him to have patience - if Jon indeed is his father, she is ready to tell him all about who his father was, but for now, PJ mustn't get ahead of him. And at the end of the episode, the truth is revealed.

Undoubtedly, this is not going to prove well for any character on the show. Especially at a time when parentage is the main issue between Delilah (Stephanie Szostak), Katherine (Grace Park) and Eddie (David Giuntoli). Katherine wants the children to know the truth so Eddie doesn't need to stay away from his own daughter anymore and Theo can be with his younger sister. But Delilah staunchly stands against it.

We wonder what she would do once she learns of the truth about Jon, Barbara and PJ? Will she be able to forgive Jon for the same sins that she has committed?

'A Million Little Things' airs on Thursdays at 9|8 c on ABC.
