The 2021 American Music Awards aka AMAs is getting close. And so, more and more details are getting released like nominations, the host, as well as the performance lineup. Fans are impressed that the global K-pop group BTS has landed themselves not one but three AMA nominations. They have been nominated every year since 2018 and have won in each category. ARMY wonder if their lucky streak will also continue this year. But on top of that, we will also be getting a live performance from BTS and Megan Thee Stallion.

Back in October, the 2021 AMAs revealed that BTS has been nominated for ‘Artist Of The Year’, ‘Favorite Pop Duo/Group’ while their latest English single ‘Butter’ has been nominated for ‘Favorite Pop Song’. BTS has won ‘Favorite Duo/Group - Pop/Rock’ back to back in 2019 and 2020 but this is the first time that they have been nominated for a grand prize like ‘Artist Of The Year’ and ‘Favorite Pop Song’.

BTS and Megan Thee Stallion to perform together for the first time

The 2021 AMAs also revealed their host who happens to be Cardi B and their performance lineup that includes the likes of Bad Bunny, Olivia Rodrigo, Megan Thee Stallion and BTS. However, to show their thanks for getting ‘Butter’ nominated, BTS and Megan Thee Stallion are performing their remix of the song. While 3J (J-hope, Jimin and Jungkook) created a choreography for the 'Butter' remix, the boy group and Megan have not been able to perform the song together. It should be noted that BTS is heading to USA for the AMAs which will be followed by their four-day offline concert at the So-Fi stadium in LA.
