The ‘ButterTheeRemix’ has been pretty eventful ever since it was announced that Megan Thee Stallion would be featured on a remix of BTS’ ‘Butter’. First ARMY and Hotties Twitter were in chaos when they realized that there was a chance her label wouldn’t allow her to release the remix. But with the court ruling in Megan’s favor, BTS dropped the much-awaited remix on August 27. And of course, fans wanted BTS and Megan to dance together in a music video. 

On the day of the release, fans got together to hype up the ‘Butter’ remix with a talent show in the Twitter Spaces which even Megan joined. Talented ARMY also made amazing fanart of what the remix's album art would look like adding Megan’s motifs like pink and glamor to the ‘Butter’ artwork. And while we did not get a music video in which everyone was hoping to see BTS twerk and dance like Megan, we got the next best thing with 3J -- Jimin, J-hope and JK (Jungkook) dancing.

Jimin, J-hope and Jungkook dance to the remix

Dubbed as 3J, Jimin, J-hope and Jungkook posted a teaser last night on September 8, hinting at a performance video of sorts. They dedicated it to Megan by adding the tag #ToHotGirlCoach which ARMY got it trending. And today on September 9 at 12 pm KST, the three boys dropped a special performance video where they are seen dancing to the ‘Butter’ remix ft Megan Thee Stallion.

The special performance video starts off with the original choreography as we see BTS dancing to ‘Butter’. During the second verse, the video glitches and 3J appear and dance to a new choreography as Megan starts rapping. J-hope starts off the dance in the center followed by Jimin and then Jungkook. But what caught fans’ eye was that they did Megan’s signature move of going “ah” with their tongue out. The performance ends after Megan finishes her verse.

'I can't stop watching'

Fans started trending #3JIsBack and #BTS_Butter as they couldn’t get over this sub-unit and their performance. Since literally, every single fan was waiting for BTS to do Megan’s “ah” move in a music video of the ‘Butter’ remix, they couldn’t help but get excited over the performance, “I'm inlove with this part. They did the *tongue emoji*.” ARMY also made posts and double-take memes like, “I can’t stop watching this part, their moves are so damn smooth, wow,” “YOU DONT UNDERSTAND IM HELLA OBSESSED!?!?!?!? THIS IS WHAT 3J DID,” and “THIS HAD ME SCREAMING !!?!? WTF THE BODY MOVEMENT!??” An ARMY also figured out that J-hope had actually spoiled it by dancing to it during Jungkook’s birthday VLive, “THIS IS LEGIT THE SPOILER JHOPE WAS GIVING US SKSKSK ?!!?? HELP.”
