'16 and Pregnant': 'Level-headed' Madisen's refreshing story has fans wanting to see her on 'Teen Mom'
'16 and Pregnant' returned with the sixth season tonight (October 6). In what was the first episode of this six-part series, it featured the story of 15-year-old Madisen Beith and documented her powering through the last trimester of pregnancy. Hailing from the Heber community in Arkansas, it was not easy for her to live life as a pregnant girl. She described Heber as "judgy" and that was where she lived with her father Nick. Their house had burned down sometime earlier this decade and since then the father-daughter duo lived with Nick's best friend David's family.
Madisen was doing amazing at school. She was also on the cheerleading squad but all of that had to take a backseat as she discovered she and her school footballer boyfriend Christian were expecting a child. He was thrown out of the house by his mother who wasn't thrilled to learn about the pregnancy. He moved in with his brother and was struggling to find a job to support his baby and Madisen and help with the medical bills. However, he was unable to do so and Madisen on certain occasions called him out for being unmotivated and not doing enough.
She also had it known loud and clear that she wouldn't settle for less as far as her baby was concerned and that Christian would need to show that he was going to be enough and would be with her throughout. With Christian unable to take her seriously, Madisen knew the only way was to go separate ways. In the episode, she said she'd rather have her child grow up with one parent than have a toxic parent and for her to make that decision at such a young age is what blew the audiences away.
