'1000-lb Sisters': Tammy Slaton's siblings worry her engagement with Caleb Willingham has a dark motive
DIXON, KENTUCKY: A new man has entered Tammy Slaton's life. The '1000-lb Sisters' star has fallen in love with Caleb Willingham. However, things did not turn out the way she had hoped when she told her family that she was engaged. Tammy's siblings were understandably doubtful of Caleb's intentions given their sister's troubled dating history. Though the TLC star has now tied the knot with Caleb, when she first shared with her family that she was engaged they were worried and even wondered, if there was another reason she is "rushing things."
In a teaser clip released by TLC, we get an insight into how Tammy's siblings, Amy and Amanda, reacted when they first heard she got engaged to a man she only knew for a month. They had just one question: Why was the the '1000-lb Sisters' star doing everything so fast? Although Amy carried out her maid of honor duties, she cannot stop questioning the intentions behind this engagement.

Does Tammy Slaton's family not approve of her engagement?
In the preview clip, Tammy tells her sisters Amy, Amanda, Misty, and brother, Chris, the news through Skype. All of her siblings initially sat quietly in shock when she described the proposal and displayed her ring. "I mean, I saw on social media that you had a boyfriend but that was just a couple of weeks ago," Amanda was the first to say. "What the f**k. I honestly thought Tammy was joking. She wants to marry a total stranger," Amy revealed in a confessional. When Amy asked Tammy how long she had known Caleb, she replied that they had been dating for a month and were getting married in two weeks. Misty shook her head as Amanda said that Tammy was moving too soon in the relationship. Amy and Amanda's worries were not really unfounded. Tammy has a history of being in unhealthy relationships. She was in a relationship with Jerry Sykes in 2021, which ended when it became clear that Jerry already had a wife. This might not be the reaction Tammy expected, but her family was visibly very concerned about her engagement.
Is she 'rushing things' to come home?
As soon as Tammy announced her engagement, her siblings couldn't help but be worried about the pace at which things are moving forward. "Two weeks, are you f*****g kidding me?" Amanda said in the teaser. "Why rush into anything? There's no need for that. I mean, I would definitely like to know your first middle, and last name before my sister goes and takes your last name," she added. Before Tammy announced her engagement with her now husband Caleb, she was insisting her family take her home and had even threatened to leave the rehab facility on her own. So it makes sense that her family believed there might be another reason she was in a hurry to get married apart from falling in love.
Her siblings have a lot of questions and the foremost was what was the reason she was rushing into things? While it might seem a bit unlikely, one reason could be she was getting married to Caleb to get out of the rehab as she had threatened to do so previously.
