'America's Got Talent' Season 16: Who are 1achord? Meet the UNCG trio with the perfectly synced voices
'America's Got Talent' Season 16 premiere episode featured a trio of University of North Carolina Greensboro students Christoff Hairston, Tavis Cunningham, and Julian Kennedy. They are a musical act and they go by the name 1achord. The boys captivated the hearts of the judges and the audiences alike with the way they synchronized their super melodic voices.
Hairston and Cunningham will be sophomores this fall and Kennedy is a rising senior. The three happened to be at UNC's cafeteria at the same time and ended up sitting at the same table by "happenstance". Kennedy was sporting a hoodie of musical artists the other two loved and they all began discussing their music influences. One thing led to another and they decided to do an impromptu jam on their favorite song and the rest is history.

Who are 1achord?
1achord might have just formed made their television debut but this male trio from North Carolina is already making huge waves with the audiences, and their Facebook and Instagram pages have 1.1K likes and 4K likes respectively. Hairston is a graduate of Weaver Academy and he is majoring in music at UNGC. Cunningham is pursuing a major in musical theater, and Kennedy is a jazz studies major with a concentration in piano performance. All three of them are enrolled in UNCG's College of Visual and Performing Arts.
The trio sang Coldplay's 'Fix You' on the show, putting their unique spin on it. While doing so they made sure there were no tunes that were off and they stayed in sync throughout, even when they were vocalizing. The performance was an out-and-out delight and the judges looked like they were in a state of trance even after they stopped singing. The audiences watching from home too showed the trio a lot of love by hopping on to Twitter.
"1aChord was phenomenal!!! Love the harmony!!!! #AGT #AGTPremiere" tweeted a fan. "I've heard 'Fix You' a MILLION times, but I've never heard a Gospel rendition of it like what #1Achord just delivered on #AmericasGotTalent! Goodness gracious that was GOOD! #AGT," read another tweet. "They may have met only a month and a half ago when this was recorded, but 1aChord are singing like they were doing it for years! #AGT," another fan noted.
