Amazon’s middle earth saga ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ has been garnering a lot of backlash for having a diverse cast. Due to this, a lot of trolls went on to give negative ratings to the fantasy series on several websites like IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes. However, it seems the online hate has reunited the stars of the original ‘Lord of the Rings’ trilogy to stand in support of the new series and its stars.

Several notable residents of the Shire are leaving no stone unturned to let everyone know that they support the Amazon series and slammed the racist fans by sharing photos on social media. ‘LOTR’ stars like Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Dominic Monaghan, and Billy Boyd uploaded pictures on social media to stand against online trolling. The stars were all smiles while sharing the pictures and stood up for the diversity of middle earth. Wood, who portrayed the character of Frodo Baggins in the original trilogy, shared a picture of him, Monaghan, and Boyd meeting each other while wearing the special t-shirts made by a ‘LOTR’ fan Don Marshall, who is known as one of the biggest fans of the Middle Earth saga.

Monaghan played the character of Merry while Boyd was seen playing the role of Pippin in the original trilogy. The T-shirts worn by the stars read ‘You are all welcome here” in Sindarin Elvish. On the other hand, Sean Astin, who played Samwise Gamgee in Peter Jackson’s ‘LOTR’ trilogy, posted a photo of himself wearing a cap with the same logo.
“You are all welcome here,” the caption of the tweet read.

A lot of ‘The Rings of Power’ stars were touched by the support they were receiving and expressed their gratitude toward Wood, Astin, Boyd, and Monaghan.

A few hours later the official Twitter account of ‘The Rings of Power’ shared a statement from the cast in which they extended support to every cast member who has received hateful and racist comments from the online trolls. In the statement, the cast noted that they stand in “solidarity against the relentless racism, threats, and harassment” that some of the stars from the show are facing on a daily basis. They also used the same #YouAreAllWelcomeHere hashtag and denounced the racist attacks.
The statement continued, “We refuse to ignore it or tolerate it.”

Well, Frodo, Samwise, Merry, and Pippin played an important role in saving the world from the Dark Lord, Sauron. So, it doesn’t come as a shock that they reunited to defeat the online dark lords and put an end to this baseless negative criticism.

The support for ‘The Rings of Power’ comes almost a day after Whoopi Goldberg slammed the racist fans for being so harsh on the Amazon series and ‘House of the Dragon’. She said, “They don’t exist in the real world (both shows). Do you know that? There are no dragons. There are no hobbits. Are you telling me Black people can’t be fake people too? Is that what you’re telling me? I don’t know if there’s like a hobbit club, I don’t know if there are gonna be protests, but people! What is wrong with y’all?”
